An original watercolor painting by artist Ethel Tucker (1874-1962) titled The Lane House- Paget, Bermuda, 1945. Ethel was born in Bermuda and moved in her late teens to New York where she study art at the New York School of Applied Design for Women. In her thirties she moved back to Bermuda and opened ‘The Little Green Door Tea Garden’ which Mark Twain, Rudyard Kipling and Eugene O’Neill were said to have visited. The Prince of Wales and Queen Mary of England were both known to have bought several of her paintings. The painting is presented in a gilded frame, artist signed and dated 1945 to left corner.
