Chippendale Style Secretary with Hand-Painted Chinoiserie

A Chippendale style secretary with double bonnet top and green and gold lacquered, hand-painted Chinoiserie decoration. Circa 1940-1960. Top section has double doors opening to reveal shelves and beautifully painted inner door panels. Base opens to desk with fitted interior over five drawers. Chinese style brass closures. Structurally very well made.

sliding metal hinge on left side of pull down desk missing but does not appear to effect working condition of desk
