German Lithophane Naval Beer Stein

A fabulous commemorative German beer stein from pre-WWI honoring the service memory of the offshore flotilla of torpedo boats in Wilhelm harbor from 1907-1910. A transfer detailed porcelain stein features a lithophane base of an officer saying farewell to his lady, and a cast metal lid. The finial of the lid is of a naval reserve officer holding the German flag, while the thumb lift is Lion with shield.

Condition

- soiled and needs a gentle cleaning, with lid showing tarnish consistent with age.
