An original pastel on paper drawing signed to the lower left hand corner by well listed artist Jan Harrison (New York, b. 1944) dated 1983. The artist has rendered an image that’s very typical of her oeuvre. The artist has painted a nude male figure from the biceps up, wearing a peculiar smile upon his face with eyes wide he’s hanging out with his abnormally large cat, who also happens to be green. The pair is framed with auras of several ethereal hues. This is image is half heartwarming and half science fiction, with an air of mischief mixed in for good measure. It is presented in a sturdy gilt wood frame and floated behind glass on a green mat.
Condition
- it would appear as if the drawing has become slightly loosened in its frame.
