Vintage "Charley Weaver" Electronic Bartender Figure

A charming and ingenious piece of midcentury vintage electronics and animatronics, ‘Charley Weaver’ the bartender is a moving toy figure who mimics pouring and drinking drinks, before his face lights up red and smoke is emitted from his ears. He is battery operated, with plastic skin, fabric clothing, and a metal bar and base. His working condition was unable to be tested by EBTH due to lack of batteries (he appears to take two D batteries although the battery sockets are not actually marked). Two miscellaneous but semi-related items are included as a bonus: a lighter and a shot glass. The lighter is by Barlow, in silver-tone metal, and is engraved ‘Lookout Bowl Womens 200 Club’ and comes in a Barlow branded box with a booklet with instructions on refilling the fuel, etc. It was unable to be tested due to lack of fuel, although its striker does produce a spark. The shot glass reads ‘Just a Swallow’ over a silver-tone image of a swallow, with a silver-tone line accenting the rim.

- some dirt and superficial damage to Charley Weaver (his tie is a little ragged for example), and working condition unable to be tested as noted.
