A rare limited-edition collection of four sculptured pewter birds by Dr. Irving Burgues. Pygmy Owl, Wood Ducks, Great White Heron and Barn Swallows, all signed ‘Burgues’, copyright 1976. On walnut bases.
These are well cast with fine detail and have a mellow, antiqued patination.

• Collection comes with a handsome, four volume set of books, each
  offering information and color photography, about the corresponding
  bird species.
• This collection was offered exclusively to American Express
  Cardmembers and never massed produced.
