Georgian Style Side Table and Drop-Leaf End Table Set
Item Details
A reproduction Georgian style side table and drop-leaf end table set. Both pieces have cabriole legs terminating in ball-and-claw feet, drawers which open with pierced batwing plate and bail pulls, and a border of contrasting wood around the edge of their tabletops. The legs match the light colored wood of the border, complementing the darker finish of the tabletops and drawers. The top of the cabriole legs are carved with a quill motif, and centered under the drawers is a decorative fan carved from a separate piece of wood. The bottoms of the drawers are made of a lightweight chipboard.
Condition
Wear consistent with age and use. Some scratches on top of both tables. The back of the side table has a couple spots of damage to the finish caused by an adhesive. The finish around the feet and carved fan design, is quite worn.
