Item Details
A vintage 1930’s Texaco porcelain gas sign. This sign is a great example of an early Texaco sign with a white porcelain body and a bright red Texaco star. The green Texaco ‘T’ in the center is outlined in black, which was used until the late 1930’s, after which a white border was used. The sign is bordered in black and has four grommeted holes for wall attachment. Texaco was founded in 1901 after a major oil strike at Spindletop, Texas. The Texaco star was first used in 1909.
