Concrete Lawn Jockey with Lantern
Item Details
A concrete lawn jockey with lantern by Concrete Machine Company. This small cast concrete statue in a ‘Cavalier Spirit’ style is dressed in red shirt, blue pants and green cap and boots with arm extended with a metal ring, as though taking the reins of a horse. However, in this case, the extended arm supports a blue metal lantern. Today, the lawn jockey acts as a welcoming gesture for guests in an equestrian household.
Condition
Damage to hand. Cracking at legs with other surface cracking. Lantern is rusted and not original to this piece.
