A signed and numbered lithography print by wildlife artist Paul Bosman. This piece titled ‘Kambaku’ depicts a close-up front view of an elephant in the wild, with birds flying in the background. Kambaku was the name give to one of the ‘Magnificent Seven’, one of the ‘big tuskers’ of the Kruger National Park. This piece is artist titled and numbered 783/950 to the bottom left and signed to the bottom right. Presented under glass with double mat in composite frame. A laminated information sheet and certificate of authenticity are included to the verso. Paul Bosman was born in South Africa in 1929 and emigrating and becoming a United States citizen in 1982. In the artist’s own words: ‘I think inspiration for my work comes from having spent my childhood in the wilderness area of Botswana, surrounded by Nature. As an adult I was fortunate enough to own a safari lodge in what was then Rhodesia, again surrounded by Nature but this time in the midst of one of the most historical areas – Gona-re-Zhou – The Place of the Elephants.’
