A dramatic antique 19th century German silver and mesh small handbag featuring an awesome raised serpent designed frame with a mesh body and link chain. The ball clasp and five tiny balls adorning the bottom are brass. The clasp is tight and the body and chain are secure. The inside is frame etched ‘German Silver’ and is lined with a cream color cotton material. A superb Art Deco style piece.

~ tarnish ~ both sides need minor re-attachment.
