A Scheibe-Alsbach German porcelain ‘Bessieres’ figurine. Jean-Baptiste Bessieres was the 1st Duc d’Istria Marshall of France under Napoleon. The figurine depicts Bassieres dressed in hunter green, burgundy and gold with a sword to his right hand, riding a white horse. Marked ‘Bessieres’ to base in front with gilt eagles to corners and maker’s and ‘11’ to reverse. ‘Germany’ stamped to underside.

- light wear to finish to helmet.
