Art Deco Van Briggle Pottery Vase

A fabulous Art Deco style single handled vase by notable Rookwood potter Artus Van Briggle. Van Briggle moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1899 and in 1901; he and his wife Anne established Van Briggle Art Pottery. Van Briggle Pottery closed its doors in the spring of 2012. This stunning vase with an oval mouth, slender neck and large bulbous base. Single narrow handle with a seamless form. A light blue/green glaze with a darker blue to the neck. Potters Cathedral window mark and signed to bottom ‘Van Briggle Colo. Spgs.’ and what appears to be the letter ‘B’.
