Vintage Wooden Toy Chest

Item Details

A vintage wooden toy chest, dating most likely from the 1950s or early 1960s. Painted primarily in colors of grey and red, with front decoration of a boy conducting a train full of large animals. The top lid glides backwards, providing a table surface while opening to a storage area free of shelves. Chest is made of plyboard and wood.

Condition

Painted front decoration is rubbed off and marked in spots. Light colored lid shows significant signs of wear, and glide mechanism is a bit uneven. Front wooden edge piece of lid does not meet up with side piece completely.
