A collotype from ‘Art Work of Cincinnati 1898, Published in Five Parts by Walt Burton and Company.’ This print is entitled ‘Art Academy and Museum.’ The locally based photographer, having famously photographed for Vogue, Sports Illustrated, Newsweek, and Time in the 1960s and 70s, accrued an enormous collection of historically important photographic negatives over the years. Among his collection were these fabulous photographs of old Cincinnati, which were reproduced in 1994 in five parts, with a limited run of just 300 portfolios produced originally sold at $500 a piece.
