Vintage Twin Bed Frame

Item Details

An elegant 1930s Provincial style hardwood twin-sized bed frame, consisting of headboard, footboard, and two side rails. Both the headboard and footboard are veneered in myrtle, and have carved borders resembling braided rope, and are flanked by columns fluted with shallow grooves. These columns are topped by rounded lathe-turned knobs, adorned with square or rectangular panels with carved botanical motifs, and end in round tapering peg feet. There is also a carved crest piece with an openwork design which has broken off the headboard, but is included if the buyer wants to reattach it with wood glue or some other method.

Condition

- minor nicks and scratches; broken crest piece; significant water damage and wear to the finish on the back of the headboard.
