Original Christian Claerebout Painting
Item Details
An original painting by well-listed artist Christian Claerebout (France, b. 1947 ) that would seem to be an oil on paper painting, and is presented in a large black frame. This painting is signed by the artist to the lower left-hand corner, and is typical of the artist’s street scenes which depict city skylines with immense distortion of scale and a splatter effect that may remind the viewer of Jackson Pollock. Claerebout is most easily defined as a Pop artist, the styles and sentiments of his contemporaries readily evident in his work.
Condition
- fair, some mild water damage to the verso, wouldn’t seem to have caused any permanent damage to the painting.
