A gorgeous signed Dona Rosa Coyotepec black pottery vase. The potters of Coyotepec continue to use traditional methods of turning pottery without a wheel, which consists of two concave clay plates, one upside down supporting the other; the pieces are molded on this device. The vase has a bulbous form, flared rim and an etched tribal design. The piece is signed by artist to bottom.
