Early 20th Century Jezzine Ware Set

Item Details

A set of early 20th century Jezzine Ware set including a fork, spoon and knife, most likely for condiments and hors d’oeuvres. Made in Lebanon from a design used since the 1700s. The items in this exquisite set all feature a figural phoenix handle made from carved buffalo horn with colored bone and brass inlay. The knife is marked AC, stainless and Lebanon. The spoon and fork are unmarked.

Condition

- one eye is missing from the spoon, some tarnishing to metal, two chips in the knife one towards the bottom of handle and one towards the head.
