John Ruthven Prints - "First Snow" and "Indian Summer"

A pair of prints by famed Cincinnati wildlife artist John Ruthven, depicting a cardinal perched on a wrought-iron fence in diffewrent seasons. In ‘First Snow’ the bird is surrounded by bare snow-covered branches, while in ‘Spring Fever’ it is surrounded and entwined with leafy branches adorned with red berries, with the suggestion of golden sunlight filtering through the leaves of the background. Signed in pencil by the artist and numbered 38/400. Matted on paper and set behind glass within a handsome burled wood frame. Companion piece to lot 398.
Condition
- a few very minor nicks and scratches around the edges of the frame.
