Charming Vintage Shanghai Handicrafts Baskets with Figural Lids

Four charming vintage Shanghai Handicrafts baskets (made in the People’s Republic of China), each with a woven animal or insect as the finial on the lid. The baskets are rectangular in shape with a frog, preying mantis, beetle and turtle as the animal or insect atop. The details, right down to the glass eyes and antennae are amazing. Very rare to find a collection of four!

Condition

The baskets are in good condition for their age. A minor spot of wicker damage on frog and one glass eye missing on turtle but overall appearance is very good – good.
