Antique Poplar Sugar Chest
Item Details
An antique poplar sugar chest from a Lexington estate, circa 1840. The chest is hinged and lined with a newspaper, The Cincinnati Daily, November 5, 1862. There is a small divided storage compartment in the upper left side of the chest. The chest sits on an offset two drawer base with turned legs and round wooden knobs.
Condition
*consistent with age and use.
