Talwar Sword with Sheath

A talwar, a type of curved South Asian sword.This piece has a disc pommel and an elaborately decorated blade. The blade also features the words ‘Made in,’ with the third word obscured, and a small piece of script in a Southwest Asian or Indian language. This talwar comes in a wooden sheath wrapped in black fabric and decorated with engraved metal. Date unknown.

Condition

Wear consistent with age. Sheath is rusted and worn.
