Antique Amberg Patented Letter File Cabinet

Item Details

A fantastic antique Amberg patented letter file cabinet in walnut from the late nineteenth century. Alternate drawer faces feature vertical carved details. Metal drawer pulls are removable to insert oval paper labels. Drawers open to reveal the alphabetical Amberg file indexes original to this cabinet, held in place by a spring loaded mechanism. Lot also includes Victorian Eastlake ebonized wood table, one oak drop leaf table on spindle legs, and two vintage Multigraph typesetters from the early 20th century.

• At the time of cataloging, EBTH was unable to determine the working condition of the two typesetters, which are being sold ‘as-is.’ Refunds based on the working condition of this lot will not be issued.

Condition

Fair antique condition. Some file indexes and labels are missing, typesetters and rusted and untested. Tables need to be refinished. Please attend sale preview for personal assessment of this lot.
