Set of Imitation Pewter Plates
Item Details
A set of eight metal plates, each stamped with a crest or shield (see images) on the front, with the maker’s mark of ‘RWP Wilton, Columbia PA’ on the back. Although resembling pewter, the plates are actually made of ‘Armetale’, an alloy of aluminum which is non-toxic and safe to eat from (whereas pewter sometimes contains lead).
Condition
Minor scratches on the eating surface of the dishes from past use.
