A vintage Japanese hand carved ivory scrimshaw figurine of a barefoot smiling man in traditional Japanese period dress enhanced in scrimshaw details throughout his robe. He appears to be a woodsman or woodworker and is holding a dove in his left hand, and holding what appears to be pine cones in the right hand. He is standing on a tree stump, with an axe on the front with a single leaf. Marked to base with hallmark of a diamond with OH, Japan, and N.2 with what appears to be a signature.
