A exceptional book lot including pressure proofs dated 1878 by Gebr. Jänecke Publishers in Hannover and a partial set of The International Gallery of engravings, published in 1886 by George Barrie Publishing. The pressure proofs are high quality engravings by established masters such as Gustave Doré. The International Gallery features one hundred engravings, by established masters such as Sir Lawrence Alma Tadema and Sir J. Noel Paton, with accompanying commentaries by Casimir Stephen Kolstoi. Lot includes Parts One through Nine and Twenty-Six and Twenty-Seven.
Condition
