Original Moritz Rusche Oil on Canvas Painting

An original oil on canvas painting signed to the lower left-hand corner by well listed artist Moritz Albert Rusche (1888 – 1969). The German painter is most well known for his highly stylized still life paintings that are practically dripping with his incredibly verbose attitude toward light. A candlestick is burning alone in a dark study alongside a glass of wine, a book, and an ashtray littered with pipe ashes. The painting is presented in a nice gilt wood frame.
