Literature
Albert Field, The Official Catalog of the Graphic Works of Salvador Dalí, pages 189 – 200.

Salvador Dalí was born in Figueres, Spain, and is known for his Surrealist and otherworldly compositions. He was encouraged to pursue his artistic inclinations at a young age and in 1922 he enrolled at the Academia de San Fernando in Madrid, Spain. Like most artists during his lifetime, Dalí moved to Paris to collaborate with his contemporaries including Picasso, Magritte, and Miró. Dalí’s body of work is based on his ability to translate his profound understanding of what is just beyond human consciousness into something tangible. Dalí’s extensive oeuvre can be seen in many public collections including the MoMA, New York; the Salvador Dalí Museum, Florida; and the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago among many others.
