Original Robert Fabe Acrylic on Canvas Painting
Item Details
An original egg tempera on board painting entitled “White Light,” by well listed and loved Cincinnati artist Robert Fabe (1917 – 2004). A very large painting, is extremely typical of Fabe’s oeuvre, and its unusual size makes it particularly desirable for the avid Fabe collector. The painting features two of Fabe’s favorite subjects, children and industrial relics. The viewer is entreated to a concentration of memory. Two small girls dressed in bright clothing, are playing on the old trolley tracks near the beach. The wind is blowing and they are exploring a broken down trolley with pronounced eagerness. This painting is absolutely exemplary of Fabe’s oeuvre, in fact it is the sort of work that typifies it. The painting is beautifully presented in a wooden frame with light gold gilt. The painting is signed by the artist to the lower right hand corner. Miller Gallery sticker to the verso.
Condition
