’Mark Carson English’s paintings elicit feelings of high, passionate energy. They are often set with vibrant, aggressive color and texture. Mark is noted for his exceptional ability to capture the energy, movement and expressions of his subjects. He has a one of a kind technique using a palette knife and brush. His talent is quickly becoming known to a worldwide following including public, private and corporate collector.

As a young boy, Mark traveled extensively with his family. He was exposed to exotic places, urban cities, fine Arts, and a variety of cultures. Many of Mark’s paintings depict personal memories from his childhood, unique experiences and beyond. His love for art and surrounding beauty began at the age of 7 when he was introduced by his father to an acclaimed artist named Adomo. Mark was inspired by Adomo’s passion, love for art and beauty. It was at this time Mark English received the nickname. “lil” Marko. He will sometimes revert to this pseudo personality “Marko” when painting. Marko will say “Whether a flower, sunny afternoon, pizza or a women’s body, beauty surrounds us, you must open your eyes to it.” So because of this, throughout his formative teen years, Marko became a self-taught, confident against the edge artist. He sold his first painting at the age of 16. Over the years, his technique has evolved into a unique and dynamic process of extreme movement, color, texture and energy! Mark’s studio is located in Nashville, Tennessee. Additionally, he is represented by established galleries and art dealers across the country. His upcoming solo exhibits will include shows in New York, Atlanta, Nashville, Las Vegas and Miami to name a few.’
