A Colonial Williamsburg Restoration pottery bird bottle, incised stamp to bottom. A glazed, earthenware, wide-mouthed red bottle that is designed to be turned horizontally and mounted beneath eaves on the wall of a house. The bottom of the bottle has an opening for mounting, below the lip opening is a hole for hanging bird food.
