’Maury Flores Gómez has more than 20 years of experience in the arts. He manages the cubist technique with such profession. He paints with a spatula using primary and strong colors in his works. Within his collection of works, it includes paintings of Honduran cities during the first and mid centuries.
He practices the cubist style without neglecting the forms when dealing with the theme of urban landscapes. With his style using oils, acrylics and watercolors, he achieves a fine trace of detail and an exquisite conjugation of colors that give life to old alleys, landscapes and grocery stores of the city. With Gómez, the figures are not treated as geometric forms, but appear as realistic forms. His style can be considered geometric neofigurativism characterized by the wide use of colors, abundant reds, blues, yellows, and lilacs all loaded with light.’
