An Early 20th Century Glider Horse, Most Likely by Whitney Reed

An early 20th century glider horse, painted white and supported in mid-stride by the metal glides on a red painted base. The charming wooden horse is beautifully sculpted, most likely a Whitney Reed toy (please preview for best assessment). The horse has its original leather straps, however it’s ears, mane and tail are missing which lends to the much loved horse’s charm. An old piece of shearling serves its purpose as a saddle.

Condition

, to fair. The horse is missing the mane, tail and one glass eye. The paint is naturally distressed in some areas as to be expected.
