- scuffs to surface of canvas with some areas of paint loss, most notably to upper left corner; frame abrasions; visible areas of overpainting, as seen under UV light, to upper left quadrant in ceiling of composition, and along upper left and top edges of canvas; slight dent and undulations to canvas to lower left quadrant of canvas; some stretcher marks present; scattered areas of cracking paint; surface inclusions and irregularities; varnish inconsistencies; apparent deterioration of liner of frame with its debris along lower left edge of canvas and frame; stains to liner of frame; chips and marks to frame.
