Likely MacDonald’s sixth state, with the drypoint lines across the chest and pipe of the man smoking at left. A superb, richly-inked impression with velvety burr, the multitude of delicate lines in the sky all distinct with very strong contrasts.

- examined under UV light; minor nicks to frame.
