Vintage Jackson-Guldan Antonius Stradivarius Violin
Item Details
A Vintage Jackson-Guldan Antonius Stradivarius violin made by the Jackson-Guldan Violin Co. of Columbus, OH. Made somewhere between 1920 and 1940. The inside sticker reads ‘Antonius Stradivarius Cremonenfis, Faciebat Anno 17’, copied from an Italian instrument of the same name that was made during the 1700s. It is in good shape for its age. It has some stickers and a slight scuff on fret board from the strings being fingered. There is a slight bit of chipping around the edges and scroll holes in the body, as well as chip on the chin rest. It is made of stained maple and has black ebony tuning keys and fret board. This piece will most likely need to be re-strung. Also comes with a maroon felt cloth with the year 1889 (though this is not the same year that this violin was made) embroidered onto it, two bows (also will likely need to be re-strung) and a locking hard shell black case that is lined with green felt. The case also has some peeling around the edges.
