Original Oil on Board
Item Details
An original oil on board painting that appears to lack a signature of any kind. Despite there being no signature whatsoever, the artist has dated the painting to the verso, 19th of September 1983. The image rendered is simple and expressive beyond the number of marks comprising such an anchored scowl. A woman sits, or stands, before the viewer, cut off at the breast, and clad in swim wear it would seem. The conveyance is simple, and yet expresses something deeply reactionary, as if something terrible has transpired. It would appear as if our subject is either about to get extremely angry, or has been very hurt. Perhaps both. This wonderful painting is presented in a wooden frame with grayish stain, and white bevel to inner edge.
