Additional Information “Robert (Bob) Hasselle was born in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1942. He attended Rhodes College in Memphis for a double major in philosophy and art. He then went on to attend Tulane University in New Orleans and majored in sculpture. It was here that he learned bronze casting from a professor who was one of the most skilled artisans of the craft. It paid off, and Hasselle began to win awards. Hasselle’s career began at Ohio State, where he taught and ran the bronze foundry for three years. His love of pottery ignited there and was furthered later when he moved from teaching at Ohio State to teaching at the Cincinnati Art Academy. It was here that he built a kiln to save the Academy from the expense of buying one. From then on, Hasselle made the switch to pottery. After three years of teaching at the Cincinnati Art Academy, he started Clifton Earthworks Pottery in Cincinnati, Ohio.” – biography from https://www.cantonartcollection.com/artistbio.php?artist_id=320
