Irish Belleek Tridacna Porcelain China

Item Details

Exquisitely beautiful Irish Belleek Tridacna patterned fine bone china tea and coffee service ensemble, each of the fine pieces designed with vertical basket weave patterning to the body, and to the lid and the base of the spout where the pattern converts to a radial design resembling a seashell, with foliate embellishments resembling entwining coral, in pale yellow. The lid has a flared conical form with interesting branch finial in a pale yellow glaze. The teapot handle, which spans the lid, also is in the form of a twig, with encrusted moss form embellishments. This fine piece of Irish bone china is marked to the base with the Belleek mark in green, with the words Deanta in Eirinn and Co. Fermanagh, Ireland, which dates the pot from 1946 to 1955. This elegant Irish porcelain set includes a large teapot, small teapot, coffee pot, large cream pitcher, lidded sugar bowl and creamer, sauce boat, salt and pepper shakers, double-spouted bowl, heart-shaped nut bowl, small and large waste bowls (larger chipped), pair of cookie or hor d’oeuvre plates with pale yellow ribbon handles, seventeen saucers, both tea and coffee (two with scalloped edges), sixteen teacups and coffee cups, eight dessert plates, pair of small dishes with fluted design to one side, and seashell cookie plate.
