Candlepin Bowling Ball Return
Item Details
Notes from Third Man Records Archivist Ben Blackwell:
Candlepin bowling is apparently only really done on the East Coast of the United States and the maritime provinces of Canada. Originally procured by Jack White for possible use in his home bowling alley, it was ultimately not needed for the construction as another, less swoopy contraption was utilized for White’s single lane of candlepin play. This vintage ball return looks hella vintage and if you don’t own your own alley, maybe it could be used as some sort of rudimentary ice luge for delivering shots of vodka.
