Original V. Froler Mountainscape Oil on Canvas

A large and robust original oil on canvas paintings signed to the lower right-hand corner with the name V. Froler. Strangely the bottom center of the frame is marked with the name Firler. The artist has painted a dramatic landscape, of gusto and freedom, wherein a range of Gargantuan mountains, presumably the Rocky Mountains, tower above a wilderness clearing laid out like an organic blanket underneath the wide blue sky. This is the sort of painting that ought to be hung in a reading room. It is a painting through which the viewer may transcend, taking the mind into bluer horizons. Presented in a faded gilt wood frame with ornate low relief embellishment.
Condition
- frame is worn and faded, repair is evident to the verso.
