Signed in mold to the base
Sculptor Andor Ruff was born in Taksony, Hungary in 1885. He studied art in Brussels and Budapest, remaining in Budapest for the rest of his career. He worked as a draftsmen, painter and sculptor, and is most renown for his figural bronzes.
Condition
- abrasions and patina loss particularly to skirt of figure; verdigris to feet; accretions and dust.
