Original Dande Josef Oil on Canvas Landscape
Item Details
An absolutely exquisite, original oil on canvas landscape painting by well listed painter Dande Josef (1911 – ). The artist has painted an absolutely exquisite snow scene that’s full of drama, variation, and exacerbated color all hallmarks of his oeuvre, and stylistic tendencies. Dande is a Hungarian painter who is most well-known for his landscapes. This painting typifies the painterly quality of Dande’s work. A glassy stream moves quietly through the snow blanketed creek bed, groves of trees guarding the source of life like sentinels profoundly blissful in the task and duty, hardly aware they perform such a great deed. The eye is delicately led through this forest of magic, and once we reach the furthest we can go, up until the bended pathway, an explosion of pink would seem to be exploding above the tree tops in the distance. The painting of snow is also herein remarkable, particularly because of the layering of white, brighter on top of duller, to create a highlighted effect that’s further boosted by impasto. This painting is presented in a simple wooden frame of just darker than butterscotch complexion.
