An original acrylic on canvas painting signed to the lower left-hand corner, and tagged to the back with artist’s statement, by Indiana painter of high regard Joe Shell. The artist has painted a still pool of water, standing like a mirror welled with clarity, in a brightly autumnal woodland clearing. The painting is full of a fiery rhythm that although is not true to life, heightens the drama of Autumn’s beautiful color palette, and reminds us of how important it is to take a walk in the woods, to stop and smell the flowers, to wipe our shoes clean and leave the urban world behind. A lovely painting, capable of commanding a room, presented in a very generous bare wooden, almost bark like frame, with a white inner edge.
Condition
- wear to frame fits right in with the distressed feel and really can’t be noticed.
