Francois Désiré Froment-Meurice was an influential and famous French goldsmith from the 19th century. This goldsmith had items worn by Queen Victoria and is represented in museums such as the Victoria and Albert Museum, Louvre and Royal Collection Trust. This particular pendant depicts St. Cecilia playing the viol accompanied by putti in an architectural frame and embellished with ruby cabochons, pearls and vitreous enamel.
