LeRoy Neiman Signed Kentucky Derby Poster

Item Details

A 1997 LeRoy Nieman ‘Derby Day Paddock’ serigraph signed in gold by Mr. Nieman. This work depicts well dressed men and women mulling around the paddock at Churchill Downs. They are studying the horses and jockeys as they prepare their bets for the race. The ladies are wearing their ‘Derby’ hats. In the background, behind the fence, is the general public watching not only the horses, but the privileged few in the paddock. The second item is the front page of the Louisville Courier-Journal of 2004 with the caption, ‘Smarty Jones perfect’. It has a great picture of Smarty Jones racing to the finish line at the Kentucky Derby. It comes framed and ready to hang.
