American photographer Theodore Brett Weston was the second child of innovative photographer Edward Weston. Weston began to photograph at the age of 14 and earned early success by 17 when he was featured in the Film and Foto exhibition in Germany. His first solo exhibition was held at the De Young Museum in 1932. His compositions are elegant and abstract, often associated with the Abstract Expressionist movement. Weston’s images are held in many public and private collections including, the Virginia Museum of Fine Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Mart, Museum of Photographic Arts, just to name a few.
