Excavated Civil War Gun Relics

A riveting collection of Civil War era relic gun fragments, believed to have been excavated from a battleground site in Virginia. Although not substantiated, the pieces are certainly of the era, a few earlier. Included in the grouping are (top to bottom, left to right) a double barrel pistol barrel, single shot pistol frame, an octagonal percussion cap barrel, in the center of the presentation is a rare Allen’s ‘Pepperbox’ frame, and at right, a flint lock brass barrel, engraved ‘London,’ a Colt percussion cylinder and partial frame and beneath it another double barrel pistol barrel. All housed within an oak and glass locking display case (key not present).

Excavated condition, the case is in very good condition
