Artist Geraldine ‘Gerri’ Reid Skjervold began her art career in the early 1970s, creating work inspired by a number of influences such as the complexities of human relationships, global cultural changes, new technology and environmental preservation. Some recurring visual themes in her paintings and collages include Asian themes, stacked perspective and vibrant patterns. While her work can appear both realist and abstract, many of her pieces feature Surrealist and narrative content.
